Getting back into the swing of things

Anyone else, have a hard time getting their kids up for school this morning??!! Morgan DID NOT want to get up and she just cried and fought with me on everything...from what to wear, to what she wanted for lunch, and all the way to getting out of the car at school.

This is our first "back to school after Christmas Break" and boy was it tough. It was almost like the first day of school all over again.

********************

Speaking of first days of school...mine is Thursday! I am getting so nervous!

I've had to get shots (oh, like 5 of them!), a physical, a drug test, finger printing and a background check, uniforms, shoes, stethoscope, scissors, and books...

And speaking of books, 15 to be exact! $800 worth of books...But I paid no where near that much. How you ask??!! Ebay! And Amazon! I will never buy books from the school bookstore again!

So you wanna know how much I ended up paying for them all?? You will never guess! About $150.00!!!

Crazy, huh! Yes, some were used, but it perfect condition! And a few I found were even new, still in the wrapper! I think the cheapest one was like $2.00 and the most expensive was maybe $25.00! I was so excited! And so was our pocketbook!

I wish I would have done that when I was in school. I was always the sucker who paid full price and bought the extras. And I paid for school myself so it wasn't like it was easy to spend the money. What was I thinking?

Hunter was a handful this morning too! He has been out of daycare for 2 weeks now. He did not want to go to sleep nor wake up this morning!! I hope it gets better for the both of us.

Good luck with school!

I came across your blog from MckMama's but you can also "rent" your books Chegg.com It is great they will even buy your old books if you did not sell them back to the University Book Store. All the books I have rented from them were in great shape and it was tons cheaper than I could even get them on Ebay, etc.
Hope that helps!

I got the oval door hanger from Hobby Lobby. It came with the ribbon and was already painted red.. shhhh.. all I did was write on it and spray it with a clear coating.. I thought it turned out cute. I made Melanie's door hanger from "scratch" and I monogrammed it myself. I have made 2 of the clipboards so far and everyone has loved them.
